I laughed so hard .His 15 min was up after Van Hagars 2 album.

They should have got Dave Back or jus Quit till Dave could get back.

But people bought the crap and still do so chalk one up for the business

Same goes for 'Little Guitars' , I read that Roth got the inspiration for those lyrics from a poem. I could go on...

Tell me that I'm wrong sheep, go on! Roth wrote 'mature' songs a hell of a lot better than Spam did. I don't care how loyal you are to Gaybar, I do not at all believe that you could seriously think he is a good lyricist. Oh you say the 'Balance' album is mature? Gimmie a break, all Hagar does is say "Oh Lord" every five seconds on that album and you call it mature?

Anything Hagar ever did in Van Halen, Roth did better. I hope my point is clear.

The Sammy fans are a funny bunch arent they? They will never just accept the fact that David Lee Roth was the FIRST and LEGENDARY frontman that made VH. They can talk to me for hours about how Sammy is a more mature singer...love of nature..and still owns many pet rocks...I could give a shit. Opinions are opinions...and taste is taste. What makes Classic Van Halen great is there is a tremendous amount of "feel" to each and every song. The songs are alive. Once Dave left, Eddie pulled the plug, thus appealing to a larger audience. That's not maturing as a band, that's SELLING OUT! You want maturity, listen to I'll Wait.
