VAN HAGAR has gotten a few bucks out of me, but not for nearly 15 years or so (I actually bought F.U.C.K. [it all anyway]) was the last piece of shit I bought.

Because I went to a VAN HAGAR concert, I can tell SHEEP that Sammy sucked live and his performance was reminiscent of someone that OD'd on proszac.

Something SHEEP like to point out is that "I've seen Roth, but you've never seen Hagar live, so your opinion means shit..."

Well I've seen both! And I can call their lies as Van Hagar sucked hard, but there was something comical and otherworldly about the gleaming fagfest, cuntastrophy burning out my eyes!

I cuntsider myself a purest whether you like it or not. I work with kids, and I always tell them to stay away from gay uncle HAGAR and get the classic six-pack!

Van Hagar got some dough outta me for 5150 (purchased despite hearing the advance single "Why Can't This Be Love". Figured that was an abberation, and with the way Ed and the rest of Van Hagar had been hyping up how good the new stuff sounded, some of it would be decent. Was I right? Not so much), as well as the Best Of Vol 1 CD and VHS, both of which were bought for the classic stuff.

Have also listened to all the Van Hagar shit even when I stopped buying it, via duped tapes, always with the hope that EVH would pull his head out of his ass, or the mentality that Sammy useless to me before he got into the band as well as in it, but maybe some decent guitar work would find its way onto a CVH release. Never happened.

Call it part of a learning curve or whatever, but gave the Sam Halen boys a fair shot to turn me on. Didn't just say in April of 1985, "Oh, well. Dave's left, fuck Van halen, I'm sticking with Dave", before hearing what Van Rothless and Dave's solo stuff was like. But it didn't take long after hearing 5150 for me to realize that Van Halen without Dave wasn't gonna be of interest, and even less time after hearing Eat 'Em and Smile to realize that Roth was gonna continue to deliver maximum rock and roll. Kept giving Van Hagar a listen post-5150 in the fruitless hope that they'd improve, and got a bunch of cheesy power-ballads and lumbering, half-aseed 'rockers' for my efforts.

Someone likes what Van Hagar did, or Sammy solo, good for them. Plenty of people who make no distinction between Van Halens lineups. On this site, the distinction is made. Red Rockers and aging fingertappers who think everything EVH put his last name over rocks no matter what should just get the hint and steer clear of this site, or at the very least come up with something other than "Sam is cool, Ed is cool, Dave sucks" to justify their participation here. Seriously. These people really need to explain why they bothered to come here, 'cuz if they wandered to this site thinking they were gonna find a receptive group of people who share their viewpoint, they're too fuckin' stupid to be allowed to stay. Far too many users here raving about Hagar and saying Dave sucks just to get attention. Give those jackasses a forum to type "Sam rules Dave sucks" all day long (thought one already existed at the links, but nevermind) so we can get back to business.

But I still defend him!

I think it's called loyality.

It's like when I wore my NEW JETS HAT around in 1995.... when they were 1-15...

Sorta like when I rushed out to buy YFLM... and the record store manager laughed when I bought it.

Basically what i'm saying is this...

If you spent even a single penny on hagar... or supported any of the tours.... past or present... you are not a Roth Purist.

You are not one of the loyal ELITE.

Alot of us have suffered for over twenty years... waiting for the ressurection of Van Halen to happen... and if you ain't one of the ROTH PURISTS.... I refuse to be associated with you.

If you supported anything Van Hagar, past or present.... YOU ARE NOT A REAL FAN!!!!

Excepting the fact that I was at the Monsters of Rock in 1988(to see the Scorps). I bought YFLM the day it was released, and I've backed Dave since day 1. For give me for I haved sinned, I bought 5150 and truly junked it after I saw the live without a net show in New Heaven Ct.. I was arguing all night with people about who was better Roth or the the other guy. After that night it was over for me and van halen, never bought anything else or looked back. I saw Dave Oct.3rd Hartford Ct. eat'em and smile tour made a big banner that said SHOT SAMMY WITH YOUR ELEPHANT GUN, through it up on stage Dave never picked it up. Roth and Roll Forever!

I have all The Classic VH and Roth Cd's, but I also have the Sammy VH Cd's too. Roth kicks ass over Sammy, but don't come on here and say I'm not a Roth purist...I say Bull Shit.
