Ok gang.
I am getting married in San Antonio on May 8th.
bachleor Party is the day before. Strip Clubs.. 40's, blunts.. bitches.
For those that are in the San Antonio area that want to attend PM me and I will send you a wedding invite. If I don't know who you are.. don't PM me. Dr Love should be attending.. we will see.
Anyways.. back to the wedding.
I have been seeing this girl, who is also a active duty ARMY Officer (Registered Nurse) for 2 years now.
She is a tad bit younger than me.
I am 32, she is 24. I can't help it, my game with the ladies is tight.
When I met her I was 30 and she was 22... and she has never heard of Van Halen or David Lee Roth. She was a cheerleader in college (Seton Hall) and she says that once they did a cheer to JUMP.. but that is the only song that she ever heard from VH/DLR.
She didn't even know Jump was a VH song until I played it.
So.. for the last 2 years I have been giving her a musical lesson.
Preaching the Van Halen gospel and condemning Hagar and The fairy to musical hell.
The place we are getting married at is a historic hotel called "Saint Anthony's".. it's the typical historic hotel with marble floors.. etc.
This is a traditional wedding.
About 80 of our closest friends will be there along with a string orchestra and some other shit. I have no clue because wedding planning isn't something I do.
Most of the people there will be under 30.
Ok now it is time to pick the songs that will play during our reception.
I want Van Halen represented at the wedding... the thing is.. most of Dave's songs are not fit to be played at a wedding.
If I was a Van Hagar fan.. the choice would be easy.
We have 3 dances.
The dance between my wife and I.
The dance between my wife and her father.
The dance between my mom and I.
Then the music plays to open dancing.
I just can't see Michelle and her dad dancing to "Drop Dead Legs" or Hot For Teacher.
I need some advice.
What songs fro the VH/DLR catalog would be appropriate to play at a wedding.
Any suggestions?
