Dave
Doesn't need to floss he grew up rich, if anything he probably doesn't want to attract people or need to prove to anyone that he is wealthy. He's had basically the same cars forever and has lived in the same house he grew up in Iam sure his rent bill was never very high. Based on his pops real estate holdings he probably could never have been famous and still been able to party, travel, climb Mt Everest whatever, without having to work. There was also a good 5 years after VH where he was selling out stadiums and selling millions of records without having any significant partners. Dude is loaded probably worth tens of millions of dollars and pulls in 200 to 300K a year alone on VH royalties.Comment

Yeah, but, isn't a fact that Mike Anthony is making more royalties from CVH than DLR ? Which is a really a pathetic situation.
I read that EVH, AVH & MA make $1.00 royalty everytime CVH is played on the radio, whereas DLR only makes $ .30 cents or some ridiculous low sum.
MA didn't even create the music or lyrics and his royalties pay higher?
Something's not right about this scenario."Meet us in the Future.....NOT the Pasture".......DLR, August '07, VH Press Conference - Tour '07-'08Comment

No doubt about it but that was a Warner Bros deal. If they wanted to up the Van Halen's share even higher tomorrow (on the back catalogue) they could. On the flip side Dave is makes a lot of dough off all the guitar junkies who buy VH stuff because they want to play like eddie.
I met Dave and have hung out with alot of famous people. Most of the time I feel like they're people in the right place at the right time. Not Dave though he is definitely a genius. I would not be surprised at all if he parlays his radio gig into something even bigger than his run in VH.
Good Luck Diamond!

What was your thoughts about Dave ? I live close to his home in Pasadena and visited some of his old haunts and met some people that know him and he seems as about down-to-earth as you can expect from a Rock Legend. His book portrays him as a really nice guy who is not pretensious.Originally posted by MightyVanAaron

Best place to catch Dave is Crazy Girls around the holidays or just about any party Jason Binn is throwing in Aspen South Beach NYC. He's really cool just don't stalk him and act ridiculous. Shake his hand briefly tell him about your favorite solo song then move along. You'll be his best new bud.

You can't be sucessful at anything unless you take some risks. There isn't a succesful investor anywhere who hasn't lost money on some bad deal. Comes with the territory Homie.Comment

How did you meet DLR? Do you attend Jason's parties? It seems that DLR is part of the Jet Set of the NYC Social Scene...Originally posted by MightyVanAaron

Guys, if you are poor no company will be attracted to you...
I mean you don't obtain a 4 million dollar contract if you are broke.

Dave never has to work again.
He is checking stuff off on his "things to do in this lifetime" list
