Yeah, awesome show, smooth all the way thru. Seated [stood] next to older guy who was just there because he knew DLR sang "Just a Gigolo" and he was happy as a clam when Dave sang it. Dude had his granddaughter there... she was about a 5'11" hot blonde, nice attitude, about 18-20 and she enjoyed the whole show too. So did her mom (the older guy's daughter) who was up in one of the windows of the hotel dancing her ass off! She actually came down later and I saw where the granddaughter got her hotness from! Nice company to have.
I was in Section A, row 20. There were three good looking blond chicks, no older than 30, up in front of me who were on their feet, cheeringm with their hands in the air the whole concert.
Dave looked and sounded great (he seems to be really focusing on hitting his screams and yelps, along with truly vocalizing like he should), the band was tight and I felt like I got my money's worth (except for losing $200 at the craps table before the concert :p ).
Great setting at Pala, but wish it was a little less 'constrained' back there, the seating was....'too tennis-matchy' (?). Getting a drink took 5 songs, but I could still see him on the bigscreen while I was waiting.
Basically, yes, I had a good time.
Also, I see more than ever, how the VH sisters are wasting what good times they could be having.
BTW, that was the first time I saw Dave live since 1982! (and I only saw Van Hagar once, at monsters of rock in 1985.. didn't need to see them again). Out.
