The reason I don't is because of the crap they say and that if you don't agree with the mods one hundred percent they treat you like shit.
That guy Brett at VH links got pissed when someone posted this over there. He said the following:

Good go to the Army jackass. Fucking holier than thou dickbag. And that goes for "The Guy" too.

By posting this all he did was prove "the guy's" point.
And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Genesis 21:17

I've been checking out the reaction to all this on other sites, and it seems to me there are a lot of Sammy Hagar fans suffering right now.

If Sam could cut it solo then they wouldn't have to suffer, would they?

I see a lot of Hagar fans pissed that EVH is dicking over Mike. I don't see any of them suffering. They dig Sammy and he has been recording and touring. More than Opie and Andy have been doing by a long shot. What is there to be suffering about? They won't have spend another $100 to see Ed screw up the songs? They have been there and done that.

I just heard the news tonight on my locaol radio station and they have confirmed this reunion has happened. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I was a bit disappointed to read here that they are cutting Mike out though. Mike is a big part of this band because of his vocals. This band was to be my first concert as a kid. Talked my parents into getting the tickets 2 hours after they went on sale and they were sold out in minutes, I was pissed. This was for the 1984 tour, so as everyone knows I never got to see my most favorite band ever play together. I have been to see VH with Sammy and I have been to numerous DLR shows and the DLR shows were by far the better because of the show Dave puts on, but Ed's guitar still sits fresh in my mind. Anyway, there is no way Dave should do this unless all 4 ORIGINAL Members are in it. Dave has been at Ed for years to do this and i'm worried that this whole thing is more for the finances then anything else. This band would sell out stadiums even today for this event. I'm so excited about this news yet not happy that Mike is gonna be cut out. I'm going to the show(s) with or without Mike.
I can't wait to hear ME WISE MAGIC live to. I hope the new stuff is just like this song because after all the years apart this band sounded like the VH of old when they recorded Me Wise Magic and Can't get this stuff no more. To me it sounded like the band never broke up. I think the new stuff will rock because Dave and Eddie together have a proven track record when it comes to music. Using the two songs i just mentioned as example proves it. Compare the Hagar days to these two songs alone and it just proves what DLR brings to the table.

Sorry for going back and forth on things folks but i am just so excited about this I can't think straight, lol.

Mike's had a pretty good run with Van Halen. If he wanted the slot you'd think he'd have called Ed or something prior to all this.

              Right now:

Mike's person is talking to Ed's people, negotiating the "pay-per-appearance" particulars.

You thought "1" bass solo was bad?

I was really referring to Sammy Hagar fans as in Van Hagar fans, masquerading as Van Halen fans if you know what I mean. Not those old 'Red Head' types from his solo days in the 70s.

Van Hagar fans are suffering. In the sense that 'their' band, Van Hagar, is over. And suffering in the knowledge that the last time we saw Sammy with VH it turned into a massive flop! Some of these people literally hate Dave and the thought of him coming back really pisses them off!

If the latest rumours are true it's starting to look like a new album is possible. Maybe WB and promoters told them that if there's gonna be no Mike and a CVH reunion to promote then has to be at least a new album to help generate maximum interest.

Ed isn't looking to reunite Van Halen for the sake of getting back to the past. It is about moving forward as a band and having some fun again.
The timing is just right right now to make this change.
You can accept it or not, but believe me, its going to be damn good.
Its a whole new chapter of Van Halen, its a glimpse of the past and a look to the future all at the same time. All while spending time with his son doing something they both love together.

Someone posted somewhere that I should post over at that other site fans hang out.

Fuck them, I don't need that. I can come here every so often or when something new can be reported without the harrassment. Plus all of you long suffering Dave fans are finally getting what you have wanted for a very long time. Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth together again in 2007, not to mention the likely hall of fame induction.

Keep the faith my friends, its going to be fun.
You're full of shit! Prove your sources bitch or keep it quiet! Brett is a fucking God, fuck you.

My feelings exactly. I really don't know what to think now? I hope this happens since I never got to see Dave with the band in their heyday. When they were kings.

Some dork at the links is trying to start a rumour that Hagar and Alex Van Halen are communicating and that Hagar is in the band. It got all of the dumb ass Hagar fans over there excited. The 2004 thing with Spam was a failure and concert attendance was poor. Having Hagar in the band again would be the final nail in the VH coffin. No way Warner Bros. would put up with that. As far as Warner Bros. are concerned it is Dave or nothing.

There seems to be many new Sammy / Van Hagar fans signing up here again.
Give it up, Van Hagar is DONE!
End of that era. Move forward.

Of course Van Hagar 2004 was a flop. I believe the band made money based on certain guarantees, but the promoters took a huge hit. And you think it was well attended? The typical attendance was between 30%-60% capacity. I have the figures. Even before the poor reviews started FLOODING in, the first few shows were played to half empty indoor arenas? We can't blame Eddie's playing for that. And Sammy had plenty to do with those three ABYSMAL new tunes on BOBW.

You're right that not all Van Hagar fans hate Dave. But there are MANY who refuse (like Sammy) to acknowledge Van Halen was any good with Dave, or that Dave had anything to do with it. Yes, Eddie has done a fine job destroying the VH legacy, including hiring Sammy. Arguably the worst lyricist in the history of the genre! And if you have read Sammy's "book" on the Net you would know the man and his manager were on a mission from day one to destroy the CVH legacy. The guy NEVER respected CVH and all those years they worked their butts off to establish themselves. What a wanker!
