I am getting a lot of emails/pms on this subject, so let me update for current events in this matter:
Friday on the homepage of Peavey's website, www.peavey.com, a large banner at the top of the page appeared with Eddie’s picture advertising 5150 gear. No reference was made to the Van Halen 2004 Tour.
Of course, I immediately got Posts/PM’s/Emails from Roth Army FuckStick Award Winners aka well reamed sheep, stating that I didn’t know what I was talking about on Eddie & Peavey splitting up blah, blah.
Well unfortunately for these demented and sick sheep with no life, I do know what I am talking about.
Peavey will not endorse this Van Halen Tour and yes Eddie has to use Peavey gear on the Tour or Peavey will drag his ass into Court, file an injunction, and the Tour comes to a screeching halt. Yes Eddie is pulling out a Kramer for one or two songs, and an unmarked Fender Strat for several other songs, but that’s it!. It’s also typical Eddie being an a-shole and screwing everyone around him!
I know that CCC/WMG have really been leaning all over Hartley Peavey to back this failing 2004 VH Tour, but to-date he has refused since Sir Eddie has screwed Peavey so bad the last two years AND Sir Eddie has “secretly” signed a new endorsement deal with Fender to be announced after the Tour. I understand that Hartley Peavey was advised this was going to happen.
This also explains the unmarked Fender Strat Eddie has pulled out for a few Tour songs. Of course, I noticed that Eddie has once again taken a magic marker to the neck of the new Strat and labeled where all the major chord frets are like a 3rd grade beginning guitar student. Hope the EVH endorsed Strats don't have this special "legends embossing"!
So the bottom line is , the new Eddie banner on Peavey’s website is so they can sell as much EVH endorsed products as possible before Eddie's new deal is announced after the Tour.
Hope this clears up any misunderstanding on the sheeps’ part, because there was never any misunderstanding on my part.
