Van Hagar on many occassions tried to hint that Dave was gay, and I remember Ed in 98 , talking about Dave turning up for the best of recordings with a limp. they were always hinting at Dave being a closet gay. They are not going to have a big discussion on Dave`s sexuality when their trying to promote van hagar. If they decided to actually call Dave a homosexual, they would look like low lifes in front of the whole nation!

In response to an earlier post, When Freddie came out as gay in the 1980`s it reduced queen`s record sales, particularly in America. People traditionally like their rock music to be hetrosexual, that fact has been well documented (I`m not trying to offend anyone by the way) The fact that Freddie was openly gay made males embarrassed to go out and buy the records. Other artists who failed in America after revealing their sexuality, pet shop boys, Boy george, Soft sell, there are a few exceptions, like Elton John.

Yup, Dave revealed a lot of things on that show about himself. One would have to when you have that many hours a day to do nothing but exchange in conversation.

Also, I vividly remember the thing about Dave and (then Ford Modeling Agency) Christy Turlington in like 1992 or around there? I fucking remember it like it was yesterday reading in a People magazine about how this model he was dating were almost or were engaged and the said model in question was infact Christy Turlington. The pics were in the mag of the two of them hitting the town in NYC together.

I also remember Dave mentioning how he "blew it" regarding not marrying Christy cos she moved on and did exactly what he was afraid of committing with her. Hence, having children and settling down. One could tell from listening to him talk about the situation on his show that ending that relationship was as painful for him as the VH split and probably moreso.

Dave's ALWAYS wanted privacy regarding his personal relationships with wimmin' and for the most part, he's done a stellar job.

Regardless, DG's right on the money regarding this topic and I can attest to that both wholeheatedly and 100%.

Dave Ain't Gay

First off, it was Karin Bernstein in People magazine that Dave was photographed out on the town with in New York. Anyway, a friend of mine used to be a cop and worked the backstage when Dave performed in town. There was a pretty long line of women Dave "serviced" for the evening. Besides all that, I've seen these photos of Dave before but it was just him in the pictures before. These have been photoshopped.

Sure, it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Queen's 80's albums simply weren't as good as their 70's records, therefore less people BOUGHT them.
