Before the internet, back in 1991 Runs 'n' Goses played 7 nights in a row at The Forum.

I figured I could make some money off tickets, so I waited in line, while my roommate hit the Ticketbastard phone lines.

I got 2 pairs of tickets. By the time I got to the window, they had already sold out the first 4 days.

I got two pair, one on day 5, another on day 6.

My roommate scored another pair on day 5.

I sold all of them to a ticket broker for average of 2X face value, as the following day my roommate won a pair of kickass loge seats in a radio contest.

So I did make some money on the deal.

And while waiting in line, I met a tape trader, who I still deal with on a regular basis.

    Funny how things work out.

Then wait until the day of the show, and go to the ticket booth as soon as they open the gates.

I promise there will be seats, good seats to be had just an hour or two before the show is scheduled to start.

Or just wait until the show actually starts, and the scalpers start to panic and try to offload their remaining tickets for cheap.

        :D

          It's true hard rock.

The ticket's are sold in blocks. They're geniuses at marketing because with an event like this one, they know that people are excited and will buy ASAP. So they sell one section, hold a few good ones. Then sell another bad section, release a few good ones, etc.

Until the day of the show when they don't want the bands to see empty seats in the front areas.

I've scored some amazing seats just minutes before the opener took the stage.

Some of that also has to do with holding off on some seats untl they know exactly what the stage setup will entail and release some based on new availablity.

I'm debating, getting 5 star package for the MN show, but hoping if I choose to do show, I'll be able to be on the site right when it goes onsale and get them before they sell out in seconds or mins etc. I'm a huge CVH and Dave fan and want to get up close to stage for this!

Like I said yesterday, if you're holding out on a premise don't think you'll be missed. That seat that you're not buying will have a sweaty ass in it afterall. Just might not be yours.
All well and good but at my end they won't be missed either.

Thx Elly I thought they were more then VIP tickets. I am not sure how many tickets were available in those 5/4 stars packages however when I saw them back stage prior to the show there were no more then 30 people in the room. So I guess we will get a good idea how much of a demand there is this Saturday. It looks like they have left some time in between show dates for extra shows if they sell out in 5 mins.
Are you Mr. Roth? I said yes I am. She said well Mr. Roth I can't serve you anymore because I think your drunk and if I was you girlfriend I'd put poison in your drink! And I looked in the bottle and I said why you old witch if I was your boyfriend I'd fucking well drink it too!!!!
