I heard him a few years ago and he sounded awesome. Seriously, some of the CVH songs sounded so great I almost wondered if he was lip-syncing. I just hope that his voice will hold up with the rigorous tour schedule.

On a side note. Seeing Dave and Sammy playing back to back confirmed in my mind who was a one-in-a-million frontman and who was a hired hand. Those guys DO NOT play in the same league!

I know it was one song, but I saw him sing Jamies Crying on a late night talk show and he sounded better than I’ve heard him sing in a long time. It was with the Strummin’ With the Devil band though. As long as he doesn’t sing in his new found octave a lot, I think he’ll be all right. That higher octave he found sucks!

I went to see Van Halen rehearse last night. They were fucking amazing (ear-boners).
Seriously, the hair on my arms was standing up. Dave sang great, Eddie was shredding, Alex is a fucking monster and Wolf was perfect. Great on bass and hit every high note. The set list was 2 1/2 hours of the best shit. I'm The One, Atomic Punk, Romeo Delight, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Mean Street, Unchained and so many more. Do whatever you gotta do to get tix to see this. FINALLY!!!!! A real full blown arena rock act!!!!! It's like listening to the soundtrack of America since 1978. THE KINGS ARE BACK!!!!!!!

And speaking of rock....
Pearl - Key Club - 11PM - Monday Sept 17 - yes, I'm playing guitar - right before Metal Skool. Come get your ass kicked.
