Dude...they've been using pre-recorded/sequenced keyboards for a while..both Dave solo and Ed. Eddie said some time ago he was tired of having to deal with the keyboard rig and his guitar rig. I don't blame him. I know he can play keyboards, as does everyone else.

Now this business of pre-recorded vocals and pre-recorded bass is total bullshit. I've heard the boots and there are enough flubs present for me to say that everything you hear them doing is live.

That "mysterious" black box is a monitor, btw.

There's no more solo Dave or solo Ed. It's CVH reunion tour... well, almost. It's supposed to be a Rock'n'Roll show, not karaoke.

To quote DLR talking to Ed many years ago, "You're a guitar hero man, nobody wants to see you playin' keyboards." He was right...the keyboards led to the "dark times."

There's nothing wrong with playing keyboards. I mean with someone ELSE playing keyboards on stage. But karaoke is something at least inappropriate for Van Halen show.
