5 stars for that bro...hell yesOriginally posted by cman
from what i've seen on the videos so far it seems that dave really strains singing it - i hope for his own sake they drop the tune. a ton of other voice friendly songs to choose from. my vote - "take your whiskey home"Comment

To me, I'll Wait is kinda subdued and meek, certainly in comparison to most of the other CVH tunes. Have always felt that way since the day I scooped up 1984 on vinyl many years ago; in many ways, it doesn't even sit well alongside the other tunes on the 1984 album, much less with the rest of the CVH catalog.
Still rings of the transition of the band from the harder-edged tunes of VH through Fair Warning to a gradual shift that began with Diver Down, where they slowly moved towards a sound that was less hard rock and more...er, 'top-40 radio friendly'. Obviously they made a quantum leap in that direction once Hagar joined the band and began cribbing lyrics from Hallmark cards, but the seeds were there even before Dave left, and I'll Wait is a case in point.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

AMEN to thatOriginally posted by DirtyDeeds
I'm glad I'll wait is there, but if they had to get rid of it, I'd want Drop Dead Legs. That's the best song on 1984 for sure.Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!Comment

I say ditch "Ill wait" for "BOTTOMS UP!" or "ON FIRE""It's like trying to fit a mouse fart into a sardine can with a shoe horn"-Ace DiamondOriginally posted by hideyoursheepWhen Hagar speaks, I want to cut off my ears and send them to Bristol Palin.Comment
