10,000 in a 22,000 venue is crap. No matter how much they try and color it. Lets put this in perspective, I live in Australia, we have a population of about 20 Million, if our local football game gets less than 20,000 turning up, its considered a failure. Now, the US, whats the population there ?? 150 Million ?? (Sorry that is a guess) and this is meant to be a huge reunion tour. A less than half filled venue on opening night is hard for even the staunchest hagarite to defend. Its
not looking good for Van Hagar at this point in time..

Here's one for you though: Los Angeles isn't sold out. Now HOW MANY people live in that area, besides LA proper? 7 million? And they can't sell out the Staples Center? Granted it's not until August but still?
What about the shows in East Rutherford, NJ? For all intensive purposes that's the New York metropolitan area, that venue is 6 miles from Manhattan. Now the New York metro area has got to be well over 10 million, and those shows aren't sold out.
Locally, the Philly metro area has 3 million, the "area" being the 5 most southeastern counties in PA, and neither of the shows at the Wachovia Center are sold out. BTW, Bruce Springsteen sold out 2 shows at Lincoln Financial Field last year (which seats 68,000) and did a 3rd that was very well attended. You'd think a "Van Halen reunion" should do well, wouldn't you? This tour is a FAILURE!!!!!!!!!
