Roth Army: 10th Year Anniversary

You may have noticed the old throw back uniforms!
April 30th, 2009 marks the 10 year anniversary of this historic site.
Atleast, that is the information I gathered from my internet research.
However, I believe the message board opened up in very early may 2000.
Anyways...

Anyone care to reflect from your early memories??

I reckon I made my first post around October 1999,
(Someone correct me if Im wrong)
that would make this year the tenth anniversary !

The site in those days had a dark intimidating look,
like some underground software pirating site...
(As per WARF's avatar) I remember reading it for
a while before getting the guts to actually post.. lol...
It was good crowd back then, still a good number of the
originals are here. The obvious absentee is Hitch, he used
to rule the Army back then...
Who could forget the "Has Dave ever Hogged it" thread..
That was a classic !!

I know for a fact the message board didn't open til late april/may 2000...
That's when me pojo,briwnsound etc etc all migrated from vhlinks...
Archive.org listed 4/30/99 as the day this place opened it's doors...
And believe it or not.... hitch1969 didnt register here til August 2000...
And he was hated by everyone here originally... even the webbies...
I remember pojo wanted to ban him for starting a thread that Eddie Van Halen should keep drinking lol

Also I seem to remember being on holiday interstate
when I had to return to work early, due to the 2000
supposed computer bug. I was sure that I was posting then.
(As I was bored waiting for the world to end on
New Years Eve)... Perhaps it was another forum...
Surely Sarge would know ?
I definately remember starting a thread called
Dave 2001 a Van Halen Oddesy (or something
along those lines) when we hit 2001...

I also recall crawling into the Pleasure Dome
in Stealth mode co-ordinated with yourself WARF !
That was definately *after* posting at the DLR Army..
I can remember someone telling me I had to speak with
you if I wanted to post at the Dome and cause havoc...
I was thinking at that time, wow this internet message board
stuff is full on !! Bless you WARF, you gave me approval
and we caused much havoc.. Im trying to remember who
arranged that "meeting" it might have been CoR ! ?
Once again, if Im wrong someone tell me, this seems
like 20 years ago now...

I saw CoR's name flash up the other day... He
always cracked me up.. He never failed to
produce a new destructive method to kill his
Gary Cherone voodoo doll !! Something you
could always look forward to here....

wow 10 fucking years!! Well congrats Roth Army. I think i came in around 2004. Wait i did its right under my name hahaha. Learned a lot of things on this site since i was only a year in to really liking van halen. Lets keep it going. And where is the picture thread with all the ladies
