Diamond Dave is always reinventing himself, learning other languages, martial arts, safari, mountain climbing, philosophy, writing books, recording, touring, producing videos, staying fit... the list goes on... and now he's in the trenches helping people.

I applaude the dude!

Plus he flat out just rocks. I don't understand why so many don't get this! He is the voice of Van Halen.

I don't have too many modern day heros. I am proud to say he's one of them!

I for one think its very noble of him to choose the medical field... not everyone can handle blood and death on a daily basis! Its very hard, mentally and physically straining and I applaud him for all of it! But the question I have is: I hear alot of talk of his finances- how he basiclly has more money than God- how do we know this? What is the proof and furthermore WHY do we know this? Is it really our business? Just askin' is all...

I think what Dave's EMT adventure boils down to is this: He sees how idiotic EVH looks in his latest forays into "old man senility drunken whack-job break-down-ville" and he realizes........

Even a bad-ass big-balled kick-ass rocker like himself can't stop the inevitability of old-age.......and we all know he doesn't need money......so why this EMT adventure? Simple: 1st, it's like he said in that article, it's in his family, and like some of you have said, he wants to give back, he's constantly growing, etc..etc.. 2nd..........Doctors get women.

When he's old and gray and his rock star status can no longer get chicks by then he'll be a Doctor and will still get all the women. It's his retirement plan, only the benefit isn't an income of currency.

Dr. Roth, Dr. David Lee Roth to the emergency room please.....there's a woman with a scrape on the knee and she requested you.

He'll be almost 60 when he gets his PH.D- what was his fathers field? Maybe hes following!! I dont know- alls I know is I made it 2 seconds a an EMT! After seeing a motorcycle wreck- Im done! ER is much more sane!!! And by the by- a rug burn DOESNOT require CPR- nice try Dave!!LMAO
