    Anyway, back on topic.....

The first 4 Van HALEN albums were pretty much perfect. The last 2 weren't bad either, despite too many covers on one, and too many keyboards on the other.

But if God Almighty shouted down from the Heavens that I could own one and only one Van HALEN album, I guess it would have to be Fair Warning.

Literally the first album VH wrote from scratch - the music from Mean Street was taken from two older songs, but everything else was completely new. This is why it was a different direction from the first 3 albums. It was literally VH of 1981 as opposed to VH written in 1973 and recorded in 1980, as much of WACF was.

So, I sincerely apologize for pissing anyone off. From much of what I have read on here there is quite a family vibe, now I feel like a distant cousin at a reunion trying to fuck up a good time for no good reason. So I think I'll go. Carry on, I'm really very sorry.
Well you learned your lesson --- hopefully you're the better for it.

Roth fans are sick of the same old FALSE argument that Sammy has better vocal range so that made him the better frontman. The sheep dont have a clue. CVH is a philosophy --- a way of life --- and it has nothing to do with who has a better pitch and scale.

Hagar sang songs about what he knew --- which was tequila marketing meetings and burrito sauce running down his chin onto his pot belly. Dave sang about what he knew --- snorting cocaine off strippers' ass cheeks and them turning around to slurp Jack Daniels off his cock. That's the essential difference between Roth-era VH and Van Hagar.

I definitely could do without the other two guys. Supposedly they're stand up comics, but neither of them are funny.

I mean, when you got a guest like Bill Ward, Tony Iommi, etc., all I want is to hear what the guest has to say. When Trunk interviews guests on his radio show one on one, it's usually a decent interview; I mean, the guy does know his stuff, despite pulling punches at times and not asking the hard questions. The two assclowns he has on That Metal Show are fucking useless. Nix them, shitcan the Top 5 lists, the Vs. segment and the Stump The Trunk nonsense and it'd be a decent show.
I agree with almost ever word of this, maybe except the stripper pole thing. I like Trunk, he has guests on TMS and the radio that I am interested in and I always find out something I didn't already know. His opinion isn't always the same as mine but so what? I support TMS because I am happy that a show centered around the music I love so dearly exists at all. It could be improved, but almost every show could. I think the lists, VS, Stump..., ect are just filler that could be replaced with a variety of segments, such band news, concert reviews and dates, new music reviews, ect. but this would force the show to air soon after it is taped, not four months later.

And for the record...... Fair Fucking Warning.
