This rumor from melodicrock about the vocals being rerecorded is simply not true. It's as simple as that.

Because of this new rumor today, I talked to two solid sources today and both confirmed that Roth's vocals were recorded awhile ago and are 100% done. They have not been rerecorded, and will not be rerecorded.

I know it can be frustrating being a die-hard VH fan right now, but what's crazy is that so much of the frustration is only because of rumored release dates that don't come to pass because they were completely made up by fans on the internet, or from unsubstantiated negative rumors such as this one that cause people to worry.

Here's my take on a few things.

First - I absolutely expected this latest update of mine to be shot down. I mean, what else is there to do? But with any shoot down comes no further info. No "this is bullshit folks...the album's coming out on this date...etc..." And there won't be...until they work out whatever they are working out and finally decide on releasing this album. I for one stand by my reports 100% - unless I'm posting from an unknown source just for shits and giggles. I think the majority here know...just know...that things haven't been smooth making this CD, otherwise we'd be celebrating the 1st Anniversary of it's release already. They started this album mid-2010 folks!!!

The lack of news, publicity, hints, comments....anything...is a major concern. I know for a fact that as of a month ago management had not heard a single note of the album and had their hands tied as far as making any deals with WalMart or such. They can't do shit until the album is handed in. I'm hoping for an update on that sometime.

Time is running out for a 2011 release. That's a FACT! WalMart will want 2 months at least, so if the album is handed in this week, then you could expect a November release. NO major artist or corporation/label will release an all-new studio album in December or early January in this day and age. So if we don't hear anything in the next 4 weeks, it's 2012 folks.

The problem lies in the way the VH organization is structered these days. As in...there is no structure. Mgmt have very little to do with them, whereas in the past, mgmt would be there to push the band along the whole time. And the band would LISTEN! The power of a label advance and pressure from mgmt would get things done.
Now....there is no advance - the band is making the album themselves and then giving it to their mgmt agent to shop a deal. So there is no time frame or pressure to get it done...hence the endless wait and possibilities of over thinking things etc.

And Dave isn't at fault...he wants his pay day. Might be his last big tour/cash in. He'll sit back and wait and do whatever. Eddie doesn't need the money and doesn't seem to care about adding to the legacy of Van Halen, or we woul dhave had solo instrumental albums or other releases in the past 15 years.
Bottom line - no one can tell these guys to do anything they don't want to do and they are all hopelessly out of touch with PR/communication in this new internet age....so we all sit around like mushrooms and wait for second hand rumor reports to give us hope.

And I say US as I include myself absolutely. Van Halen were my favourite band of all time until they fucked it all up with the 2004 Sammy tour and crappy hits package.

Excuse the typos....I'm rushing here....but I had to say this stuff. Hope it makes sense.

I hope for a positive result ASAP.....but I'm losing faith now.

PS. You guys are fucking legends. I laugh my ass off at the many posts and great graphics inserted. Just a great bunch of people and I thank you for taking the time to have interest in whatever I post.

Wish I had more....but I'm always plugged in to respond when I hear anything.

Why would he? The twit has never owned up when his so-called "news" reveals itself to be out and out wrong, and never will. Since the VH camp has a policy of not responding to his bullshit one way or another, let alone acknowledging it (A policy the ROTH ARMY should consider adopting), he can smugly go about acting with impunity while irresponsibly continuing to throw whatever comes into his head at the wall. More bizarrely, boneheads throughout the internet will continue to believe him to be a credible and informed source.

Now let's not get crazy, I love fellow fans, I am just saying I will not hang my hat on a VH release ever again.

Hopefully I am wrong and something will come out. But now like 1996, disappointment again has set in after long waiting.

Now I was the first to say whatever they release will be great, but now I am beginning to think they don't have what it takes. Excitement has worn off totally and I am in disappoinment mode.

How long can you string fans along and make them wait ? Throw us a bone and post something, updates, clips, samples....anything. Christ, how about a release of some old live stuff ? Something for gods sake!!!!

I am just so worn down waiting for my fav band to release something, I am not sure I could get excited if it finally came out. I am just a beat up VH fan.

I also hate how they have managed to do the impossible and silence DLR. That along with the wait has finally made me realize the VH brothers have the power and as long as they do, VH will suck.

DLR was always the big reason they were so successful. Not Ed, cause Ed has done shit since DLR left.
