There's a new audio snippet at VHND this morning as well...

This is all good good good ... I'd hope we get to hear more of this, where they are bouncing memories back and forth.

Interesting the way this stuff is coming out. Someone has got us all zipping back and forth to the various sites in a state of heightened expectation, ramping up the damn foreplay!

Yes, whomever is running the show in terms of publicity, at least as of Dec. 26th, 2011, is really doing a great job....

And, of course, this is just the beginning.... There hasn't been any tour dates announced yet, no single released, no album released yet....

The only things I think they can improve on since the announcement on the 26th is social media.....

They really need to ramp up on Facebook and Twitter.... One simple blurb doesn't cut it in today's social media world.... The vast majority of Tweets are coming from the fan sites like VHND, us and the Links....

But I definitely like what I'm seeing so far....

From what I understand, it was the server that weaseled out on their end of the deal, otherwise that place would still be running full force, and on all pistons.
I tend to think of it as a merger. Both sites fought for the same cause, saluted the same flag, and most all of the heavy-hitters from there are here.....still kicking ass.

It must be a living hell for the pro-Sammy sites that the two main Roth sites have combined their firepower. To that I say "Too fucking bad! Deal with it!"

I love that these guys sound genuine with each other. I also like that I can understand what's coming out of Ed's mouth. Check out his Two & a Half men spot or the CNN spot both from 2 or 3 years ago. Sounded like he had a frog lodged in his throat.

The clips were provided by DDE directly to VHLinks, who were referred by me.... How the other VH site got them, I'm not sure.... I do know that the VHTrading site was contacted by DDE as well....

I think it's fantastic that Dave, obviously with the band's blessing, is doing this for the fans. He really is the coolest frontman ever, able to connect with the fans like no other. It feels a little like the old days when I felt that the band and we the fans were all in it together - the Van Halen Army - and we all knew that our band was the coolest on the planet. And thanks again Va Beach for setting this all up.

DDLR was there in the years when the Army wasn't around, and yes, you guys could always crash on the couch whenever you needed it. I met a lot of great people there, raised a lot of shit,got into some great political debates on the Front Line, had a public meltdown or two , shit man, you guys are fucking family!!! Now, what we've all been gathering for is finally coming to fruition, and the icing on the cake is that we, the fans that have been here all these years, are getting the recognition we deserve (and have demanded a time or two ) Fuck, it's time for a great big GROUP HUG!!!
