Van Halen Vs. Adele For No. 1

I went out to Wally World a couple of hours ago to grab a copy for a friend. Those fuckers have a tiny music display at the front of the store in an inconspicous place far away from the music section. That is where all of the copies of ADKoT were located along with a few other titles. If someone had been looking for it, they probably would not have found it, so you know what I did? I grabbed four handfuls, put them in my basket and took them to the music section. I moved ALL of the Adele cd's away from the main display back to the alphebetical section, and put the Van Halen cd's in their place. Fucking Wal Mart. They have an exclusive and they don't give any more of a fuck about selling it than that.

I already have my copy, 3 of them actually, but went to WalMart and Target today and looked for more.

At WalMart I could find no copies or promotional display, and after waiting for an "associate" to assist me, was told they were sold out and expected more copies to be delivered on Monday.

Target had one copy left on an endcap where new releases are featured. Well, at least they did... I have 4 copies now. 5 when the red vinyl arrives. :D

Only problem is.... I don't own a record player.

I don't think this is a problem. In fact, it might be along the lines of the-Lord-works-in-mysterious-ways™©® kinda gift. Most people that are up to buy Whitney's back catalog are likely the same dopes that buy Adele's music, and thus, it might ever so slightly siphon off Adele sales. Quite unlikely that Whitney's DEMISE™©® will have a detrimental impact on Van Halen achieving the #1 spot.

Kinda odd they say the grammy show on Sunday night will drive enough people to leave to their local Walmart at 11pm to buy Adeles music just before the cutoff to keep her in the #1 spot. If she does get any buzz from the grammys, I'm sure people will wait until the next day.
