You know, I never really paid any attention to Adele until this evilning....

She's not all bad. Meaning that she's not a botoxed silicone enhanced mindless twit singing auto-tuned computerized garbage over a beat stolen from a record made decades ago. She can actually sing, and the song seems to come from something real that most mortals can relate to on some level or another.

And dare a Devil say it.... this white English girl with the Cockney accent has more soul in her music than the dearly departed crackhead EVER did, despite her having a gospel singer for a mother.

So Adele deserves her Grammys. Now that she's allegedly "happy", we'll see if she can follow it up.

Now that said, she does NOT deserve to take the #1 album chart position from the Mighty Van Fucking Halen. (No, a Devil hasn't gone that soft in his old age!)

In London you used to be able to hire a Leonard Cohen singing telegram.

ADKOT got to number 4 in the midweek UK chart, but suddenly a bunch of people decided they STILL didn't own the Adele album, but no big deal.

But my guess - and I have some inside knowledge, I know someone on the editorial staff at the mag - is that they are extremely pissed off at not getting an interview. I know for a fact that they have been trying for ... well, years, and they had been planning a cover story to coincide with the launch of the album.

I guess the negative review means they are unlikely to get an interview now.

I was pretty certain if Mick Wall got to review it in Classic Rock he would not give it a chance, no matter what, 'cos he seems to have developed a real dislike of VH and/or Dave.

Gotta keep in mind that they did a special Chickenf**t fan pack thing, where they sell an a special issue of the magazine with the CD!

I think people will download whitneys songs but i don't know if enough would make it out to buy a cd in time at least for the Billboard charts. Its totally possible though. Its still entirely possible Van Halen could be #1. How many more people since last summer haven't heard Adele yet, I just think at some point everybody's got the album y'know what i mean? I think the rock fans are gonna come out of the woodworks for this one.

Someone on the west coast, at 7:30 PST, check out hitdailydouble.com and they start calculating sales from albums this week.

They are usually spot on with over the counter sales and pecentages, so at least we can get an idea where this beast of an album will land.

I'm still saying this fucker will be Roth's glory #1.
