Absolutely bro......Bon Scot was the master of sleazy rock and roll lyrics. It's high time for a professional VH DVD to be released by the band.....would love to see some sort of Kissology type but I won't get carried away.

I'd love to know if all these asshat reviewers who rip DLR for not singing also hated Bon Scott. Because I don't think anyone talked through songs more than he did. Yet Bon Scott is revered (as he should be) while DLR gets way too much criticism for a similar style.

It's hard to have too many nightmares with VH out on the road jammin.' Who gives a flying fuck about dipshit critics who became critics because they can't "do".

Those people never got it, and never will......There's only a few front men who can captivate an audience......take a guy like Mick Jagger.....not the greatest voice live......but Mick is mick....no other way to explain it....Dave is Dave, Ozzy is Ozzy....etc...there's only a handful of amazing front men..I'm not a big Aerosmith guy but you have to say Tyler is/was a solid front man too.....maybe I'm biased but I put Uncle Dave at the top of the list.

It would be awesome for VH to clean the vaults out like Kiss did, but I don't think it will happen. Mike is on all those old videos. It was the first thing I thought of when I heard Wolf was now in the band !! Not that I would miss Mike but I might never get the old live concerts released ! The only videos that got out with Dave on them when Sam was in the band were the 1984 vids. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Money talks first sometimes !

I'd have to agree with that.

Roth threw Anthony under the bus. When he had his radio show some years ago, he said he'd never do a reunion unless it was Classic VH.

I think in the past he would have. But he made alot of money selling his booze company, so I don't think he needs it. That would be the only reason he would play with Ed again. Fuck Ed would be crazy to let him back in the band for any reason after he ripped him in his book. Alot of it MIGHT be true, but to just put it out there was not a good idea ! Dave never through him under the bus in his book except the part were he talks about leaving the band because they were always drinking. Sam needs to retire. The only thing left for him to do was do another Montrose album. Thats not going to happen now.

After reading the old interview with Mike in the Guitar World Collector's issue, I think Dave should've thrown him under the bus and driven over him a few times. Fuck Michael Anthony. Fuck him with an old dead splintery tree trunk. Arrogant bastard!

What in hell Ed means by vacation...I really hope he means a permanent vacation?

                        Relax.

Eddie surely can't reply with "yeah man, those songs I wrote for over a decade really sucked balls!"

Of course he is going to call his own music "good music". If he says man, I'll never play those again he is admitting that they were crap. And in his defense some of them did have some great music to them. By saying they are on vacation gives him an out. And who knows? Perhaps someday he will re-work a tune or 2, or release the original 5150 demos with Dave singing.

By saying they are on vacation he avoids the "hey Ed I thought you would never play those again" bullshit questions.

Nah, Eddie is a guitarist and seems to be having a lot more fun (and success) by playing his songs that showcase his guitar....and not piano or keyboards. No real reason to ever bring back the other era of music except for the case of a giant box set anthology type thing.

Again, relax. This train is just going way to great for these guys to want to stop it or get off at the next stop.

Some bands hang around waaayyy to long. I put the Who at the top of the list !! And the Stones 2nd. The Stones should do a huge farewell tour with Bill and Mick Taylor on stage and call it a day ! At least Mick can still sing. Rogers voice is shot ! Van Halen music is young & fun ! I don't want it to drag out. At least on a stage. A few singles here and there would be cool ! Wolf could start his own thing then in 7 or 8 years.

                          Have to disagree.

The Stones & The Who are still very capable of putting on a very fun show. Kiss as well. And I'd also be very happy if an older VH did an unplugged type thing. The Panama Downtown session is fucking amazing....and that was just off-the-cuff fucking around. Imagine if they really did it for real? Wow!

I'll pass on Roger trying to sing I hope I die before I get old at 70 ! And sure as hell don't need to see Dave singing Everybody Wants Some at the same age ! Some unplugged thing could be cool in 10 years, sure. But is that Van Halen ? But I see your point. It would be something.

In G-boro, I had not yet read that interview, so my feelings for Mike at that time were merely intense dislike for his playing. After reading it, I don't believe he is the nice guy everybody else seems to think he is. Yes, the interview is old, but calling Dave a homo and insulting just about everything about his position in the band is pretty fucking unforgiveable in my book.
