Sorry Sparkie, I'm a bit slow today (every day)...what interview? Link? Thread? In G-boro, I had not yet read that interview, so my feelings for Mike at that time were merely intense dislike for his playing. After reading it, I don't believe he is the nice guy everybody else seems to think he is. Yes, the interview is old, but calling Dave a homo and insulting just about everything about his position in the band is pretty fucking unforgiveable in my book.
Thanks.“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”Comment

Sorry. I don't know of a link to it or even the title, but it is a reprint of an interview with MA from around 1986. It is in the Guitar World Special Collectors Edition on stands now. I would have bought it, but there was a lot of Hagar in it. I will NOT throw down any of my cash that invloves that pos, nor will I bring it into my house. I resorted to reading it in the bookstore. All of you should do the same if you have not yet read it. Some of you may have read it when it was current, but I completely turned my back on VH once Dave was out.Last edited by SparkieD; 05-12-2012, 02:22 PM.Originally posted by Tiki-Tom You're one classy tattooed bombshell in my book.

Alright. I'm actually planning on spending some time at the bookstore tomorrow evening so I'll grab a coffee & read it for free.“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”Comment

My worst nightmare?
I'm in Hell. The air conditioner's broken. My neighbors (for all eternity) are the BCE. The computers all use Windows Vista. The only beer on tap is warm Coors Light. And the jukebox in the bar plays nothing but Sammy Hagar.

Ofcourse they can go on for many years together ( with Dave ) but right now we have to enjoy this great time, especially you motherfuckers who can see and hear them playing
live ( in front of......haha ), lucky bastards, we, all fans outside the USA and Canada still have to pray if they will ever see them live in concert again!!!
And if the Rolling Stones are still 'rockin' in their late 60's I'm sure Van Halen can do the same because our Diamond one always will coming up with ideas to entertain his fans !!

Some of the sheep over at Links are having delusional fantasies about a Wolfie-led Van Hagar reunion
Shit, I think Hagar is a low rent douchebag in any number of ways, but I think his friendship with Mike Sobolewski may be one of the few genuine things about him, and I don't see him throwing Bassplayer under the bus in order to play "How Do I Know When It's Cheese" live again with Ed & Al. Assuming they would have any interest in that.... which I really don't. I think Ed's actually embarrassed by that crap music now, which may very well be why he had to be completely shitfaced to do the Velveetapalooza 2004 tour, and STILL had the complete meltdown in Tucson.Eat Us And Smile
