I think there is a safety button to call them. Maybe nobody heard it.

I am VERY claustrophobic. I don't fly not because the plane might crash...but being locked in a tube at 30,000 feet with no way out. I don't even like being in the fast lane of the freeway during rush hour, because again....no way to exit. Elevators, MRI machines, anything like that. I could sit inside a trunk for 3 days no sweat. But if you lock the trunk...that's when I freak. It's not the small places, but being TRAPPED in small places. If I know I can get out anytime I choose I'm fine.

Prob same reason as me. Not because the elevator is small.....but what if the fucking thing gets jammed? THEN WHAT!?

David Lee Roth announces tour postponement.....thread is now about claustrophobia.

Good job Roth Army. Well done on another finely derailed thread.

Very scary. Ranks up there with waking up during surgery or sex with my ex-wife.

I am not really afraid of much..but I am really not keen on wasps and centipedes that bite. I can handle all types of bugs, spiders, tropical bugs, snakes lizards, etc but I hate and have a fear of wasps/centipedes.

I think that's what it is for me - The fear of being trapped. I have no problem going through tunnels if I can see the flash of light at the end. The tunnel where I hyperventilated curves at the very end, so the passage was dark, and I felt trapped in there having no sense of how far I have to go. There's an old Dutch film called "Vanished", I think. It's about a guy being kidnapped and buried alive in a coffin. The last scene showed him wiggling in the box, still alive.

Well, I am not claustrophobic and I love heights, and I did some risky climbs, but I fear bugs.

I got one thats VH related. In 08 when I went to see VH I had a near panic attack from walking through all the crowds. That freaks me out too. But it's nothing a couple stiff drinks didn't fix.
