Reno was 90 percent sold and the tickets went on sale on Monday. I was at that Roth show also. The crowd did suck but it wasn't promoted well. The VH Reno show sold out in 08. Reno has a good turn out and solid crowds when good acts come through.Comment

The main olympic gig, at Hyde Park, is already set up.
Duran Duran are headlining the gig for the opening day and Blur are performing the closing gig.
Duran Duran, Snow Patrol, Stereophonics and Paolo Nutini are to represent the four UK nations at a concert to mark the start of the Olympics.
But...
Seriously, I did a VH google search recently and first up was news about Aric Van Halen posting the fastest times in his sport in the Olympic Trials - I think he's a Steeplechaser, or something.
That would seem to me to be the kind of reason VH would have for saying - 'hey, why not just do Europe now'THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment

Fox Sports news - Colorado honors Van Halen relative:
"Aric Van Halen ran the sixth best 3,000-meter steeplechase time in the nation with a finishing time of 8:42.79 on April 19 ... The Los Angeles native finished third in the Olympic development elite section, running the fastest time by a Colorado student since Billy Nelson in 2008. His previous personal record was 8:52.53, which he ran in 2011.
Van Halen, 22, is the son of Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen and the nephew of guitarist Eddie Van Halen."
If he is going to the Olympics, and I was his old man, I'd wanna be there ...THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment

Interesting. I knew his son was some type of college athlete. Good for him for pursuing his own dreams and not doing music and good for Alex for letting him do his thing. Hope the kid goes & does well.“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”Comment
