Why include VanHalenI's thread here? It's not exactly the same...
His shows video of "As Is" and "LUTS" being rehearsed, whereas this thread is about audio stuff from a rehearsal.

when he hits that heavy sounding 7th chord he hits a very low note on the E.
I'm guessing it's a C and he's in drop C tuning with the whole guitar tuned one step down, that way the main riff gets played in the A position where we've seen him do the riff in the past. (the song's in the key of B). Makes sense.Comment

Kinda what I was thinking too...or he's using a guitar with that "Drop to Hell" bridge he's been developing or something...cuz as far as I can tell the main riff is in their standard Eb (and notice he switches from 'A' position to open mid-riff), the bridge and chorus is where things get wacky.Originally posted by conmee
