HOLY SHIT both of those songs sound amazing! I think I like Wolfie's background vocals better than MA too - less harsh live. I wonder what's stopping Dave from doing them....he's never been lazy, so I can't imagine him not wanting to work on them. Are they just too much for his voice right now? As Is doesn't seem out of range, but I'm no expert. Really hope they get in the mix for leg #2.

I wonder..would anybody here be willing to let Wolf sing this song if thats the only way it makes the setlist??
                I would vote no.

Nope, not even once. It's really cool to here it at soundcheck but I don't want anybody else singing Dave's songs onstage with Van Halen. Could you imagine Dave walking offstage so they could play LUTS with Wolfie singing? Never gonna happen. And I'd be pissed if it did. I appreciate getting to hear the soundcheck clips, and I've grown used to Wolf's background singing. But to have him out front singing this song? Hell Fucking No Fucking Way.

Hey, maybe they'll actually put out a DVD of this tour and include some of the better soundchecks and include LUTS? That would be a decent compromise.

I would say no also ....I think a whole different can of worms would be open if that were to happen. Let's just keep the Wolf LUTS vocals in soundcheck - As is.

Hmmm I was very vocal since day 1 that more tunes off of ADKOT should be played on this tour.

Listening to As Is on these sound checks cements it.

I like how Wolf got his vocal down for Light Up The Sky. I wish he belted out the backing harmony around the "drive my search engine home..." part for As Is. Dave may need the assist on that one.
