I can't help but think the show would be better without all the gimmicks.Dave does not need to be swinging swords around to be cool,And I find the giant inflatable's to be cringeworthy.Yes i get he is David Lee Roth,Larger than life rock god but I would certainly prefer if he just sang the songs,danced a bit,interacted with the crowd and had fun with it, like the cafe wha ? show.To me that was so much better than any flag waving sword brandishing act

I like DLR perhaps almost as much a musician/singer and as his Kendo training, wish I has the same amount of dedication to a rigid school.

This was the very first of any video I downloaded off the internets. I believe I got it off Slawterhouse in 1999. I always called it the Sword Vid better know as, Flex. The vid stops short

And also this sword-thing is under the same category as Roger Daltreys fish farm. You can't rock out and have a fish farm...

Exactly. I like VH, and I love Dave. And it would be easiest to just pretend to love everything they do, suck up to them and smile. But some things need to be said. Bring back rock, leave golf, sports, spas, massages, pedicures and fish farms at home where they belong. Just trash up, man up.

US tour postponed/cancelled due to "biting off more than we can chew"... "unnecessary roughness"... what the fuck ever... There was one person suffering from inconsistent performances during the first leg... his name doesn't include Van or Halen... There was one person who couldn't perform with the A/C on and stayed bundled up in sweltering heat on-stage... his name wasn't Ed, Al or Wolf...

If anyone was having issues it was Dave. Anyone notice the elephant in the room..?

Sword training in Japan... woooo fucking hooo!! How about we dispense with the action figure bullshit and talk vocal training and whatever the hell that issue with the A/C was all about?
