I tried to do that when I go to sleep, since I have trouble falling asleep, but I just get stuck in bad thoughts and bad memories. It's scary when you are alone with your thoughts.

Actually sometimes meditation brings that stuff up. There are therapists that use similar techniques to bring to the surface the bad stuff and then work on dealing with it and clearing that out. I call it baggage. We all have it. One technique you can do is let all the negative stuff come in and then mentally crumple it up like paper and set fire to it. Visualization techniques are very powerful. Life really is a mind game more than anything.

I always wondered why they called it the "Invasion Tour" --- my guess is because Dave was invading the sugar walls of many starstruck nubile females after the shows?

You know Roth named it the Invasion Tour. Van Halen in those days had the come into town and tear it up image. Roth was very much of the beat on the drums and raid the village and fuck all the daughters mindset. All I can say is when Van Halen rolled into town you knew it.
