And "Peter Vincent" (whoever the fuck he is) can suck my ass if he thinks ANY album released by Aerosmith since 1979 is better than ADKOT.

When Aerosmith, one of America's best-loved and best-selling rock bands, were rushed into the line-up of this weekend's Stone Music Festival, many assumed they'd be handed top billing ahead of Van Halen. Aerosmith is, after all, a rare retro act that still writes albums good enough to hit the top of the US charts.
If he likes the Desmond Childmolestor/Diane Warren written American Idol bullshit, he's probably a Van Hagar fan anyway.

Aerosmith does not look at all pleased to be performing here. Is it internal strife with Tyler? A long trip for 1 show? Actually opening up for another band? (how longs it been since they've been 2nd fiddle?) Old age? At least Joe looks cool. About to cast a spell on you from a cauldron full of eye of newt and dragon wing....but still cool.

Wow. had no idea. I don't follow these guys at all. He used to be a big healthy dude. I remember him wearing Metallica t-shirts & stuff. A true rocker that loves the heavy music. Dang cancer sucks. it really shows on him Even more sad that he is still here with us but doesn't seem to be enjoying the moment at all.

I'm The One would be cool to hear again, and make a great opening tune.

Aerosmith boarded their plane to Australia at the same time the Boston bombs went off. I read some of their kids live close to the incident, so they probably look a little glum about all that I guess.

Tom Hamilton, last time I saw Aerosmith he wasn't there because of battling cancer. It looks like it has returned, so that's probably another reason they don't appear to be in the best party mood.

But yeah, they are older and look it, so what. If reports of low ticket sales are true, for both VH and Aerosmith's own show, then they both helped each other out of a jam.

I still love old Aerosmith and watched some of their recent tour on YouTube, and can say for a fact, when they perform the RIGHT tunes, they still kick all kinds of crazy ass bigtime. They usually play 7 great old ones, Draw The Line, Mama Kin, Rats In The Cellar, Combination, and a few others. Sometimes even, Mother Popcorn. So that stuff alone makes it worth the while. If they play my town, I'll be there for sure.

Like most other rock fans here, I don't like the way they switched their style to the sissy pansey assed mainstreem pop ballad type of fabricated crap. The new album was kind of a letdown, as before it came out, it was reported they were going back to their roots with Jack Douglas on board again as producer. But of course, it wasn't that way at all. L.O.L. It may very well be their first complete commercial bomb of their entire carreer.

They have sold 40'000 tickets to one of their other big shows coming up, either New Zealand or Dubia, I forget which. So they probably don't like the idea of going on before VH, and being paid less. L.O.L.

Here's a fun fact. In DLR's A Little Aint Enough tune, he boosted a lyric from Aerosmith's 1979 song, No Surprise, about being vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

No, it looks like their mom just dressed them for school and they're afraid to be seen in public...

Billy Joel comes across as an old timer who has seen it and done it all , very cool .
I know old timer doesn't mean old when you look at the age on that table lol

                            Spot on....

The presser was pretty good. Dave was clearly "on", and Billy was funny.

It's an impressive feat to have all of these guys together. I hope that VH has enough fun to keep them motivated....
