I honestly think this would be a boring DVD to watch. I saw both tours live and I closed my eyes at times because I was tired. They were not visually stimulating like... back in the day when I walked barefoot in the snow uphill both ways to/from school. Monotone stage. Ed standing in one spot. Wolfie walking around a little. DLR trying to not hurt himself. Just give me the music, the sound.
Speaking of Dave not wanting to hurt himself, on the Sam and Dave tour in L a dave tried one of his high kicks but grabbed his leg like he had a bad cramp halfway through it. The audience was full of old farts (including my freinds and I) so everybody was sympathetic to Dave's plight. There were half naked "cougars" everywhere. I lit up a sneak a toke and some people looked at me like I was committing murder but they hit the sneaker when I passed it to them. One girl said her boyfriend was offended but she took a couple hits while he went to the bathroom.Last edited by cadaverdog; 01-09-2014, 06:23 PM.Beware of DogComment

We remember them flying all over the stage and even Al destroying the skins but we have to come to the reality of those days gone by.
Even look at the audience they're not the rabid crazed fans as we've seen in the old boots either. The band is in their late ages and so are the majority of the fans. So no we won't have that energy of back in the day.
The past 2 tours don't really faze me that much because with new tech we've really seen about all the shows on YT.
Now what I and just about every VH fan want is the unseen footage, the full 81 concert and others that have never seen any light!
The money they would make would be ridiculous!Comment

That was a pretty special show indeed... It's fun to watch VH in a small club like that. I'd love to get an upgrade to the spliced-together on YouTube.
The shows in Japan had killer lighting. Superior to the US shows, but without the mega jumbotron screen.Originally posted by wiseguyThat shit will welcome you in the morning and pour the milk in your count chocula for ya.Comment

In my years being a Van Halen fan but only having three tours in my time being a VH fan (2004 Faux Reunion, 2007-2008 Actual Reunion, ADKOT tour. I don't count the Right Here, Right Now, Balance and VH III tours because I was way too young to remember them.), I've learned VERY quickly that you can never be too certain about Van Halen on anything. How do you spell pretentious? Exactly, dumbasses like you!
It's far easier for EVH to slap some stripes on something and sell it instead of having to do something musically and have to deal with the bassplayer and DLR.Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.Comment

I'd think he'd be smart enough to figure out if anything sells, put it out! Including the old live shows!Comment
