Yeah, my own reaction watching those performances was a bit ho-hum.

With Van Halen, I've always associated them live with a fully electrified production, and have always associated their sound along those same lines.

That's the problem... the black & white filming... or as my youngest calls it... grey TV... sucks the life out of it!! Van Halen should always be filmed in Full Technicolor with Panavision!!

The set... Omar's Discount Rug and Carpet Emporium... They ain't Hippies from fuckin New Jersey!! They're a California band. Ed or Dave's backyard pool side would have complimented it and accommodated the dogs better.

The Panama performance was fun and energetic... Russ giving Dave the obligatory doggie Nut-Sniff™ and loving crotch face plant... was so Rock-n-Roll...
