Well said, 1000 posts meant something because of the quality of the posts. I cannot begin to count the amount of times we dissected each, song by song on it's lyrics and music. When one post consists of Diver Down: a song by song critique consists of over 10,000 characters used, it puts to shame BS like "?" or "no news is good news." That shit use to piss me off. It's one thing to have a cleverly placed one liner versus making it your mission to have a high post count with Machiavellian tactics.

I've never thought a high post count was something to be particularly proud of.

It's kind of like having some amazing high scores in minesweeper...
