Wow, Loons is back. The Prince Of Darkness himself makes an appearance. And me and redfire aquired a little something something today. Kinda feels like the shit is all coming together.

I was able to purchase tickets today. I use to work at the bank that has its name on the arena here in Tulsa. Anyway, it was a presale for bank employees, and my friends that still work there forwarded me the link and password. But all the floor seats were sold out. Stupid Amex presale.

Vindicated is the precise word to use. I feel like we weren't carrying the flag for these years, the torch, for no reason. And even if it felt like a pipedream, we were justified in believing that Dave and Ed could make badass music 20 years later.

This is pure vindication and euphoria right now. Talking to Brownie and we're like 15 yo kids again! Firing up the Commodore 64 and TI-99/4a home computers, breaking out the old concert shirts and parachute pants... ok maybe not that far.. but damn, feels good to be a VAN HALEN fan for the first time in 28 years!

These next couple of weeks are going to be great. New album in a week, then off to NYC the following weekend. And the NEXT weekend will be the first show of the tour in my backyard!

So I have been listening to my old VH boots and demos, and I can't find a recycled riff for China Town (among other songs). So what songs do we know are brand new? I know that Tattoo, She's the Woman, Bullethead, Blood and Fire, Outta Space, Big River, and Beats Workin' are derived from Down in Flames, She's the Woman, Bullethead, Ripley, Let's Get Rockin', Big Trouble, and Put Out the Lights respectively. So that means You and Your Blues, China Town, As Is, HBSD, Trouble with Never, and Stay Frosty are new tracks, or did I miss something?
