    Trivia Point Foozwah..

I believe Dave sold out that venue two nights in a row,
and Van Halen (With Ga y ) had trouble selling it out once..
The people of Australia voted with their feet !!!
    God Bless the Aussies :D

Just try and bring your Hagar shit down here Edward...
Remember the 3000 that turned out at Canberrra ??
It *CAN* get a lot worse

Call Dave, then all will be forgiven ! (Ya stoopid Fucker !)
BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow !

I just watched the Unchained video. I like it. EVH is playing well, and I like Gary. He wasn't a good fit for VH, but that is more EVH's fault than Gary's. I don't know, maybe it is because I am an Extreme fan. Gary definitely got the short end of the stick. Sammy is fucking up VH. Gary didn't fuck up VH. VH III was a piece of shit because of EVH. By this I mean that EVH wouldn't let Gary be Gary, he tried to make him sound like Sammy. EVH also wrote some shitty tunes for that cd.

Go listen to the last couple of Extreme records, like Waiting for the Punchline or III Sides to Every Story to know what Gary is capable of.

More than Words did not represent their catalog. It was sort of a fluke, that and Hole Hearted. If that is all you know, then no wonder you are biased. III sides to Every Story and Waiting for the Punchline are excellent discs. Personally, I believe that EVH heard them and Nuno's playing at the time and realized what VH had lost . He think he figured that if he got Gary in the band, VH could sound like that. Don't forget, Nuno was influenced by EVH, but surpassed him, and Gary really is an outstanding singer, when he is allowed to be himself. They were a great band. I would go see their reunion in a second.

There are other bands out there that rock. VH wasn't the only band to exist. Shit, I just saw the reunited Living Colour two weeks ago. It was one of the best rock shows ever. It was the original band, with Doug Wimbish on bass. It doesn't get better than that. There was no publicity for that show and no one was there the first night. people need to get out there and support the quality bands with their wallets, not there mouths. I don't rip bands that I haven't heard. That is weak.

The place was fucking packed. I remember getting tickets the morning they went on sale, and the seats I got were still a zillion miles from the stage. Not that it mattered, cos during the support, we managed to make our way right down the front, stage left, so I also had a good view of Vai's shredding. A truly excellent gig!

Jeez, I just realised that was 16 fucking years ago. That means I was probably...20.
No, sorry, I meant I have never seen Ed, Al and Mike.

Sydney born and bred...moved to Melbourne last year.

Saw DLR with Vai, Bissonette (x2) and Tuggle at the Sydney Entertainment Centre 1988... crap venue for rock bands but still an awesome gig...and NO EMPTY SEATS!!... HEAR THAT SPAMMY??????

Agreed, there are many bands out there that Rock. Ripping on a band without hearing it, is also unfair. But to be honest mate, after watching Ga y's theatrics on the VHIII tour and the few songs of Extreme's that I have heard (I hate more than words) its totally put me off wanting to explore them further. Watching Ga y finger his butthole on the floor in front of EVH, kinda squashed any ambitions I had about exploring Ga y's past.. (Do you blame me ???)

Yes. EVH legacy ended in 1984. Those songs will never be matched by anyone. Sadly his ability to play, has decreased over time. Listen to Cupids Dead on III Sides to Every Story and then listen to Without You (I think that was the song...the "hit" on VHIII.) You can clearly see that EVH is trying to duplicate Nuno's parts.. , except he can't.

I have been playing guitar for over 25yrs, and that is a direct result of EVH. That does not mean that I feel the same now. He sucks now and has been on a downward spiral for a decade. Shit happens. At this point I would rather see Nuno improv, the EVH play anything.

I am only speaking on Gary's work with Extreme. I was disgusted with VH3 and refused to see the tour. Granted if I saw him finger his ass and squirming on the floor I would be turned of as well.

What is wrong with stating a fact? I am 31 and have been playing since I was 6. Did I say I was better than anyone? Get a clue.

Doubt it. When Kiss got back together they had like two years booked for shows. What does Van Hagar have ? Two months? They would publicly make comments or announce offers to play elsewhere. You here it all the time, "we're doing the U.S.,then Europe, & on to South America .....blah,blah ,blah.NOT tell an interviewer they have to be invited & promoters have to RALLY support!
                              GO!

and bruce stadium only holds maybe 5500,
(sold out, of course) but i didn't think van cherone
