    True dat.
What about a simple set of dentures?

It'd rule to see Ed in a polident commercial.

God, you're as dumb as a poster going into an Alcoholics Anonymous website to talk about cocktail recipes.

Hello!! This is a DLR forum! This is NOT a site for those that wish to talk about why Sammy Hagar is a great frontman.

I'm sick of your class of opinionated, annoying sheep that wants to be heard by his enemies.

Your enemies hate you. Get to the SHEEP PEN.

Any bum is happy if he has his fix and for Ed, it's good ol' alcohol. I would like to read the post of the guy who has to sit next to a sober EVH who the flight attendant refuses to serve booze to because he's a self-admitted alcoholic. Sitting next to a shaking EVH going through the dry drunks would probably be just the opposite experience.

Having to go for any distance with a sober and shaking Ed couldn't be pleasant.

Ed's a piece of shit. All humor aside (shocking I know :D ) , this fucker needs to take a long hard look at himself. He has a son to live for, fans that idolize him blindly, millions of dollars, all the pussy he could want.........nothing wrong with drinking(shit, I drink) but when you're literally killing yourself, and not giving your fans bang for the buck, it's time to straighten up or retire.

You know, it really is a telling statement about the dangers of alcoholism, and I agree completely with you Bill.

My Grandfather went through it pretty heavily...even so far as drinking while driving on a narrow road up on a mountain...while I was about 8 years old and in the passenger seat, no less...even left me alone by the roadside for a good amount of time and he found it amusing...

That was certainly not him acting - just the booze.

One of my friends has thrown away 2 wives because when gets around booze, he gets stupid...lost most of his friends, his mobility...Christ, his whole life. He knows it. He's seen the damage it can do...watched it in himself as he got off work every night and had to sit down with 2 40's just to get rid of the shakes.

Not him acting either - just the booze.

And here's Ed - recording career, women galore, talent beyond what any normal human should have had given them...the world on a silver platter...and HOW MUCH of his life has it cost him?

                            Yet he drinks.

Ed's problem isn't running into people with LSD.

                            Ed's problem is booze.

Great post. Too bad none of Ed's ballad loving cohorts(or anyone else for that matter) has had any success in curbing his drinking. He could have a lot more great music in him, but sadly we'll never know.

Well, not short of a long, extended break at Betty Ford's.

There have been cases of career alcoholic musicians battling back and making something of themselves. And a lot more cases of career alcoholic musicians not. Whether Ed will remain in the majority, as he's heading for full speed, remains to be seen.

My guess is we'll know by the end of 2005 one way or another for certain, so long as his liver doesn't say "Fuck you buddy, I'm done" before then.
