DLR & MA aka "the bass player" are not tight, that's for sure. DLR may have lobbied for his involvement when reunion was new but by all accounts Wolfie was driving it by reminding his dad that VH was great w/DLR. Seems like it was a package deal, 3 VHs & 1 DLR.

I recall EVH saying that "you can't be in 2 bands at the same time" regarding MA. Ask Jason Newsted about that. Obviously EVH never met Jack White, currently in 3...

One could say Sammy & MA abandoned Eddie in '04 but dealing w/an active alcoholic is no picnic. EVH was calling the shots back then and they were just along for the ride. Not much you can do if person doesn't want help.

The core of the band is DLR and EVH and they're working on new material. That's my bottom line.

During the last tour, be it the porn star GF, Alex, Wolf, David or any combination of the four... someone had the balls to say let's put this tour on hold until Ed can get his shit back together a bit and then we'll see if we can get it rolling again.
Sam and Mike really are scumbags if you think about it... shame on them!
        Thanks for the compliment.
I have had some very similar thoughts as far as your post is concerned.

Dave seems to me to be a team player whatever team he is on he is in it for that. Hold the bus man DOWN!! Not so much keep driving and see if he catches up. They are all big boys and you can't help anyone too much, but you can put thier boots at the end of thier feet and see if they do the rest themselves

I am also not saying Ed isn't important to Dave's success within VH. I like Dave solo any day anytime, but together when all pistons are firing, they rarely miss a goal, or have issues with past strike outs and that is just a fantastic, 10 over par round as far as, wich set of cleats to wear, is it sunny or is it going to rain today and who knows the over/under.......

        Peace

              He's not allowed, obviously...

Even if the next Van Halen album sucks, they should at least have Roth out there trying to sell the damn thing...

That was classic Ed-spew. He could'nt actually reveal how he cured cancer.

                Why?
Because the BCE threatened to vapourize his gene pool if he did!

I'm a bit worried about the new material, too. Most of those reunited bands suck.

I'm with you on that one.

I don't think Ed Van Pinocchio has any creativity left in the tank. His improvisational skills onstage have diminished into nothing. Having his son coaching him on how to play CVH when he is VH isn't a good sign.

I hope he proves me wrong, but history hasn't been his friend.

I had no problem with Fat Anthony, until he began to expose, his own two-faced personna, in 1996, to the present day!

The lowest, he and Sam stooped, was in 2005, when he and Hagar, taunted the Van Halen brothers, by not turning up to Mrs Van Halen`s funeral!
That was the final straw for Fat Mullet, as he was fired the next week!

Michael Two Faced Anthony = low life trash!

Like saying the captain "quit" the Titanic.

Until Dave came back and pulled the wreckage up from the bottom of the ocean, it was DOA
