I think maybe Crazy Eddie finds life hard to live without a target for his hatred. Now that Dave's back in, that energy has to be directed towards 3 people-Chubs and Mike.

Kinda ironic....EVH had to relearn CVH tunes.

Now he needs to relearn how to be a band member like he was in the old days. Why fuck with what works?

Certainly wasn't the smartest way for Anthony to go about positioning himself for being asked to rejoin the group for future projects, but being asked to play with the band in 2004 only because Hagar insisted should probably have been enough of a clue to MA that the Van Halens didn't want him around anymore to begin with.

You look at the time line and events I'm really not sure what Mike did or didn't do to deserve getting Ed's boot.

Anyone with half a sane brain wouldn't want to be hangin at Ed's place from 1996-2004.

November 1999 Ed ended his homo era with Cherone. The previous year was spent working on the followup album to III. Doesn't anyone find it bizzare that Cherone lived in Ed's guest house from 96-99. Since Mike didn't perform any bass on III... one can assume he wasn't invited over to Ed's for wine and composing fag piano duets.

Could it be that Gary strayed from Ed's ball sack with the bass player??



Also in 99 Ed fired his hip and hired a replacement hip. He and his new hip are like brothers now... If questioned Ed will say his hip quit on him... He doesn't know why once again he's the bad guy!!

Oct 2001 as Ed mentioned his wife of 20+ years quit on him... He doesn't know why once again he's the bad guy!!

May 2002 Ed admits his battle with tongue cancer. Ed claims his tongue quit and left the band. The tongue says it was fired and Ed had it surgically removed. Ed doesn't know why once again he's the bad guy!!

2003 Ed fired his sobriety... Ed swears it just up and quit walked out on him and the band one day out of the blue... Ed doesn't know why once again he's the bad guy!!

I agree with the comment about, who in the right mind, would want to hang out at Ed`s place, betwenn 1996 and 2004!

In that time Hagar was fired, replaced by Dave, for two songs, in 1996. Gary came in between 1996-1999. Dave and Van Halen, then failed on 3 ocassions, to complete a new album between 1999 and 2001. Ed even, considered David Coverdale and, more disturbing, Bary Gibb as Vocalist number 4, in 2001!

Hagar was brought back in 2004, for a proposed Van Halen album. However, it took Sam,Ed and Al, 4 months, to comlete just, 3 tracks. Ed played bass on those tracks, as Ed was still pissed over Fat Anthony`s alliance with Hagar.
Al and Ed tell Sam, they don`t want Mullet on the greatest hits tour. Hagar refuses to tour without source boy! Anthony is brought back in as a hired hand, for the tour only!
Hagar and Anthony have to travel on sepeate planes, to Ed and Al, as Ed can`t stand the sight of Anthony!
