Yeah, I'm too busy doing my own thing. I wish them well. The funny thing is that everyone who quits the band always claims they got fired by me. Hey, I'm not the bad guy here. When Hagar left the band, Mike went with him. Then when we get back together with Dave, and all of a sudden, he wants back in. It's like, "No, dude, you quit the band." So my son became the bass player. But we didn't give Mike the boot to have my son play. He was around. We didn't have a bass player. "Hey Wolfie, you want to play?"

It must be pretty mind-blowing to play with your kid.
He was only 15 years old. "You want to play bass?" "Sure." We did not have a bass player. That's the only thing really that bothers me about people acting like I'm the bad guy. I just sit in the studio and write music. I'm not some tyrant. I've got no beef with anybody. I wish them well. I hope they are ... I don't know what a "supergroup" means, but I hope they accomplish what they're setting out to do.

I wasn't necessarily correcting you ZahZoo... this is a common sentiment all over the internet where I've been reading comments about Ed's interview. There's a few comments made by Ed in this interview that I'd call bullshit on, but saying he hasn't heard any Chickenfart music isn't one of them.

Even if he did, as long as David was back, Ed should have swallowed his pride a bit and said "OK" when/if Mike asked to come back (and I'm sure he did).

Oh well...as usual, it's the fans that get fucked and Ed gets to do interviews where he plays Mr. Innocent and everybody else is the bad guy.

I had heard that Dave fought pretty hard to get Mike back in, but Edward was set on having Wolf in the band, so the picture that Ed is trying to paint that Mike walked away is done with shit... off on a tangent, I don't recall hearing that Mike fought hard for Dave back in 1996, 2004 or any other time after the initial split.

What has me worried is.... didn't Dave say during the first breakup that he wasn't going to sit on his ass for a year or hole himself up in a studio for a whole year to make an album. I seem to remember his comment had something to do with ruining his tan.

Giving these guys a year to record and tour again is just way too much time for too many bad thing to happen. Given the history of this band.
