Can you say the N word in public if your great great grandma was a slave in Suriname?

You are right. The song was "I Burn for You". It was on the 4 disc box set.

Allow me to return your kind favor to me this morning, Mr. Mustard. Strangely enough, the person who posted this video did not include "Sting" as a search term. I found it by searching Omar Hakim. This is quite a different version than appears on the release "Bring On the Night". Enjoy.

Yeah!! No shit- a great band indeed! Daryl and Omar. Omar is a monster. I didn't get to see Sting until he had Vinnie Coliuta on drums - but it was quite a band as well.

This is my favorite version of Roxanne. Sting played at this benefit concert - The Secret Policemans Ball. I know he played 1 or 2 other songs. I wish I could get a recording of this song. I wonder who else played for this benefit. This has to be around '85. His voice has never been better.

BTW, it seems he has trouble reaching the actual notes on that boot I got last week... He even sings many songs an octave below how they are supposed to. I mean, I'm most glad they finally reconvened and got that tour together, but it feels uneasy to hear Sting kind of struggle with some lines... It sounds like his voice can no longer make it, at times.

Omar Hakim... Wasn't he in Chic with the awesome B. Edwards and the legendary Nile Rodgers?

Damn, no wonder why Sting needs Somebody on drums, because after Stu Copeland...

Copeland's playing hasn't suffered years, on the contrary, though he was like startled how he reacted when playing a couple of Police songs over a year ago with that band I don't remember the name of, and complained about the painful reaction of his muscles.
Anyway, he's been the one who most wanted the Police back during all those years. Good on him for never changing his mind.

Yep! But the original drummer was Tony Thompson (R.I.P.)

Here is an old clip of Sting playing Message In A Bottle. Excellent. At times the crowd almost sings loud enough to drown him out.

I just saw them here a few nights ago. A great fucking show. Sting still has the voice and Copeland's drumming was simply awesome.

Highlight of the night was probably Wrapped Around Your Finger.
