    That would be great.
I've always liked these guys musically.
    Where did you read this?

It would be a miracle if the got back together, Sting is the main reason for it not happening.

I remember seeing the Police during the "Police Picnics" they held in Toronto, Canada and catching the final tour in Buffalo.

    Great band!

As for drummers, nobody can touch Neil Peart! Best EVER!

If they do it, I agree that it should be straight-up Police, and not essentially a Sting solo show featuring special guests Summers and Copeland.

About the only bits of Sting's solo stuff I found to be of interest were parts of the first two solo albums and the Bring On The Night film, but that stuff was jettisoned from my collection so long ago, because I just wasn't listening to any of it anymore.

The Police were fucking brilliant live, especially on the tours for the first three albums. The one tour I caught them on, for Synchronicity (their last one, although nobody knew it at the time), I really wasn't that impressed. Didn't suck, but far from the best show I've ever seen.

I saw it on TV. Like ET or something like that.
They claim to have accurate info. Just the fact they are on speaking terms is amazing.

We'll see if it pans out.

I saw the Police at Disney World during their 1st "tour".

Saw them later at the old Tangerine Bowl for Syncronicity.

I've seen Sting at the Royal Oak Music Theater.

Stewart Copeland at a drum clinic.

I don't want to cheer too loudly for this reunion. The last band that I got worked up about reuniting was the Clash and we all know what happened there!

I hope they do get it back together. Their body of work is amazing. There's bound to be something new from them if they get back together.

Can't see Sting and Stewart working together long term again. Sting is far to used to having employees that he can instruct on how to play. He's always said it takes about 30 seconds of playing with Stewart to remind him why they broke up. Stewart always plays too fast, Andy's always off key, etc, but Stewart will never play the way Sting wants and vice versa.

They were fun to see at the hall of fame ceremony though. Stewart looked so excited to be playing with Sting and Andy again.

as much as i'd like to see the Police get back together, i doubt it will ever happen. Sting doesn't need the money and doesn't need the aggravation of the other two.

i don't mind Sting solo up until Ten Summoners Tales. after that he's gone into Elton John territory.

First he says he read about it.

Then he says he saw it on TV.

I'm calling "bullshit" on this one.

Sting and Copeland hate one another.

I would LOVE a Police reunion. They were amazing.

But I'm not holding out any hope.

If it did happen, I think they would be Headlining a major tour.
                                VH might open for them!!!
