It`s a bold move, but also a stupid one.

Whether they like it or not, the punters want to hear the older songs.

None of that new stuff will sell tickets and it`s the same old-same old at the end of the set.

    Disappointed.

Well, what really bites is that they haven't been anywhere even remotely close to me since, oh, 1990 (and I didn't get a chance to see them then...in fact, I've never seen them).

But I'll be damned if I'm going to spend $50 odd dollars, plus the cost of 800 miles worth of gas both ways, to go see that shit-ass boring setlist.

BAD IDEA to come back out to my neck of the woods after almost 20 years and play that horse shit.

Would it really be that difficult to play one song from every (good) album and a fair selection of the new stuff? Iron Maiden, Wrathchild, Number of the Beast, Trooper, 2 Minutes, Wasted Years, Play With Madness, Wicker Man, Rainmaker, Benjamin Breeg, and three or four from the new album? I'd be happy as a pig in shit with that sort of setlist, it's all inclusive of the whole career, covers the "hits" and gives a taste of what's coming.

Well, so be it. Not like Maiden's really given two shits about what the American fans would like to see in the last 20 years anyway. Can't act totally surprised now.

Where were you in 2005 or 2008? The early Days Tour in 2005 had only songs from the first 4 albums. It was bad ass.

Also the SBIT tour in 2008 was great mostly Powerslave, SIT, 7th son. They clearly gave the fans what they wanted on those 2 tours.

HELL even the 2003 Tour was greatest hits.

Any of those options would have been great, had they come within, oh, at least 1000 miles of where I could have seen them. On any of those tours.

Well here is kind of a shocker. Looks like Maiden actually switched up thier set list on the 2nd night in Houston. Maiden is one of those bands that usually plays the same set throughout a tour.

Couple people at the Houston show said they got Wrathchild, Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter & Dance of Death. This may be an interesting tour after all.....
