Cleveland also was a great Rock N'Roll town in the 70's and 80's, getting bands like Rush, Kiss, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, and such to the level they are today in terms of legendary status.

If that was the case, when you are getting paid tens or hundreds of thousands for a couple hours work....you take the Xanax a couple hours BEFORE show time. You DON'T make the fans sit with their thumbs in their ass for hours on end and finally roll out at 11:45 only to rant & play a half set.
