I seriously doubt that. I could see him making an effort to make automatic weapons and assault weapons more difficult to obtain or keep, possibly, but frankly the only use for an Uzi or an AK47 (or otherwise) is to kill somebody, anyway. No practical application in hunting and they're essentially useless for home defense to anybody untrained in their usage.

Weapon collectors, of course, have a legitimate claim to them, but that's what background checks are done for. And frankly, I think background checks need to be more in depth and better executed. That system always needs an overhaul, no matter how good it currently is (or isn't).

I mean, unless we've all of a sudden developed problems with background checks and that's all part of a massive Democrat conspiracy to disarm the public, too....

You'd watch gun violence and accidental shootings vanish overnight, guaranteed.

Same here. Well, my shotguns are not registered, but they aren't required to be. If they change that law I'm not sure if I would register them. They can't take what they don't know you have.

That's kind of funny, dope. Because I think he actually supported the Supreme Court decision overturning D.C.'s handgun ban...

I watched that thing tonight. While I pretty much agree with everything he said about the Bilderbergers and the (not so) Federal Reserve, his case against Obama himself was pathetically weak. Allegations about him being "groomed for 30 years" (what, since he was 17??) without a shred of evidence to back it up.

I'm a conservative, but I am an independent conservative primarily for two reasons. I have no allegiance to guns or formalized religion (although I do believe in god and spirituality). If we did or didn't have guns, I don't really care. It's one of the "five subcultures that destroy men" that Carlin spoke about.

We have useful gun control and enough laws on the books. What we don't have and truly need is ammo control. These guys were able to do so much damage this week not because of the guns they carried, which are for the most part fairly standard issue, but the amount of ammo they carried, which allowed them to keep on firing. Nobody for ANY reason should have more than a box of ammo. If you need more than 1-2 boxes, your a shitty hunter. If the firing range kept ammo, fine. But you sign it out to fire it THERE and then. Like a driving range.

These are horrible events and my heart goes out to all involved. I just can't help but thing if these fucking useless pieces had less ammo, more would have survived and less would have been hurt.

Or maybe a visible and defined investment at the onset would go a long way to establish intent and actualized desire? Examination of a storehouse where said weapons are to be stored and displayed? Perhaps a business license of some sort to trade or sell to further establish intent for the purchase/ownership of multiple assault rifles?

Or you can still have random guys who flip out, get pissed that they got fired, and decide they're going to shoot up their employers old place saying "Uh, yeah, I'm a collector! That's the ticket!"

I have multiple guns myself, and as a gun owner I have NO problem with intensified regulation of assault weaponry, period. As I stated, assault weaponry serves no purpose other than killing people and for that reason they should be EXTREMELY difficult to come by.

                                I'm fully aware of it.

I get the feeling, however, that the founding fathers didn't visualize everybody in America running around with Heckler & Koch MG3's strapped to them either.
