If you're going to be full of righteous indignation, don't use it on a specific political hot topic, use it on EVERYTHING that it applies to. Either that or don't give it a second thought and pay it, same as you do everything else I mentioned.

I like the idea of having the government help with healthcare for those that truly need it

If hypothetically, this was passed say, during the latter half of the Clinton administration or the first half of the alternate universe Gore adminstration where we were in better order and not having our finances drained by two wars and other useless spending, I think that would have been the time to do it, and I probably wouldn't be as against it (other than whole "required to buy insurance" clause, which sort of can screw over business in this country)

I thought that we should have focused on getting the debt down and fixing the lack of jobs in this country (..and not just with temporary public works projects, real lasting jobs.). Once those are both squared away, THEN we should have as a country written a bill to revamp health care.

I'm almost blaming the GOP for this as much as the Obamunist Party because although no Republicans voted for this piece of crap, I really believe they had a huge responsibility to sell their NO vote to ALL Americans by pointing out what's in the bill.

And I'm not buying into this bullshit. I already told Blue Cross to fuck off and have been paying cash.. actually saving money when I go to the doctors or the dentist!

For example, a copay at the dentist would have been I dunno, $25 bucks for a cleaning (or was it $50?) and that part was dinging me over 40 a month. I hadn't seen a dentist in 2 years, so in 2 years that's gonna be 1000 I'd saved, or over 10 grand in the next 20 years.

I paid $75 for the cleaning, with xrays. Fuck insurance.

None of the things you listed above is mandated by the government. Everything you listed is voluntary...yes, even eating is voluntary. Even taxes are voluntary...if you're willing to sponge off someone else or are willing to go to jail.
