I'm willing to bet good money that there are going to be a lot of people who wish they had bought into it when the time comes that they end up needing it.
Of course, that holds true for everybody who thinks it's a good idea to exercise their freedom to not pay for insurance of any sort when time comes that they end up needing it, but still...
It is going to be -GREAT- when my doctor becomes my Parole officer..can't wait.
P.S. You are also fat!! that is six months in county..I mean you know it will happen, Hillary is involved.

We over here laugh our asses off about you americanos...really...we have that kind of insurance since the 50's...and nobody here has to stand in line in a sportshall for eight hours to see a fucking dentist like you would expect the people from Swampwater/Uganda and not from New Orleans...
It works...it's fine...it's good...and if you bitch and moan about the money...don't let the wallstreet steel it from hard working people...and maybe don't waste it on stupid shit...the money you pay now is money you will save later...do the math...Roth Army Icon

Natra...uhh...that generally doesn't happen when I go to the dentist.
Auctually, the most I've ever had to wait at said Dentist office was around...30 minutes? It's not in a sports hall, it's in a typical office space like you would imagine. Waiting room, old magazines, TV playing with dental propoganda, you know the deal?
American Healthcare is not as bad as it's potrayed in the media, and likewise, I don't think Fox news finding some fluke story from Europe/Canada makes their way bad either.
Truth lies somewhere in between, could do a lot of good to adopt some of the policies that say, Canada has and vice versa for the Canucks. I mean, they have, how many MRI systems compared to ours?
I just really don't like how this bill was written, it was written moreso not with what the American people wanted, but how the politicians thought it should be run. I felt that we had very little voice in what we auctually wanted in it.Last edited by Unchainme; 03-22-2010, 12:56 PM.Still waiting for a relevant Browns TeamComment

When I become ill I go find a doctor i have never needed or desired long term general pracvticioner type of relationships.
I have some friends ( retired) who are on Medicare and they pay 3$ for scripts and all other payments, office visits, surgury, etc,. are payed completely to the last penny.
It is a wonderfull idea to get people all riled up on HEALTHCARE!!!!!! OMG!!!
It's a joke ass fear mongering buzzword nothing more .
I will bet the legislation is also lined with all kinds of other BS that is in the fine print that is secretly going to remove more rights from the individual.
What if I go to a -Obama Doc- and then refuse treatment, will I be fined..?
Court systems, lawyers hired, jail time ...?
I am also sure that this whole deal is a boon to the next 50 years in job security for representatives and goverment lawyers and thier staff ..they need to creat problems within the system in order to keep thier jobs .
I mean who likes voting on another pot hole repair refferendum when all this new meaty sh!t is on the table.

No bill has been written!
This first step in this government takeover is to cross the first bridge and burn it behind them!
This is just another step in the GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER!!!
They want control of our lives!
It has nothing to do with healthcare. The government does NOT have our best interest in mind...Comment

I think if handled properly, Socialized Medicine could be very good for this country. I auctually favor more of a mixed plan myself. I just feel that this bill was not handled properly.
I just favor a way that it could be done moreso with lower taxes, I am naturally sort of libetarian in that regard.
Auctually am a big fan of Germany's infastructure 'natra.. I sort of wish that our education system would revamp itself into the ways yours is.

you are a christian man like myself, E...aren't we supposed to love our neighbours like ourself?
does "freedom" mean that people in a nation should not care for each other, help each other? why should one from New York pay taxes to rebuild New Orleans after hurrican Katrina just because you were stupid enough to build it at the coastline?Roth Army Icon

social does not necessarely mean socialism

Yep...
Sure, but I belive in teaching our neighbors how to fish as opposed to giving them fish...

Temporary help until someone, or a community gets back on their feet is great. Lifetime support on the government dole is wrong...

Look, health care costs in this country are out of control. The incentive for the health care industry is to run useless or unnecessary tests, over-prescribe drugs and no emphasis on preventative care.
Billing fraud and over billing people who do have health insurance is the norm.
People who can't afford health insurance are still getting treated but that's just a write-off, since they can't pay the bill anyways.
I love all the scare tactics going on and the common sense of it says....if you go to a restaurant and eat dinner, do you get pissed when they hand you the bill? Of course we'll have to pay for health insurance if we use it, you're paying for a service.
This bill is not what I wanted and I'm pissed at the Democrats for not having a spine and the Republicans for spinning this into death panels and Rove-like scare tactics. The simple fact is we need reform and a way to insure people who can't afford the status quo . These people cost us money already. Why not make it so they can pay into the system, too.Originally posted by vandeleurE- Jesus . Playing both sides because he didnt understand the argument in the first place :DComment

Sometimes it's not a bad thing to look over the horizon and learn from other countries...we don't have socialism over here but we have a healthcare system that works and does not leave one citizen behind...what's wrong with that?
your system doe not work...so why not change it?Roth Army Icon
