Having come from a family line that practiced polygamy I realize if you open the gates to gay marriage you have to be open to polygamy. Fair is fair.
That will come back folks and it's not a good thing. We really have to be careful how we define marriage. Polygamy is illegal for a good reason. Women become property in that situation. I don't think most people really realize the ramifications of making gay marriage legal. There is a lot more to it.

not true at all. polygamy is a completely different public policy. legally, gay marriage would operate EXACTLY THE SAME as straight marriage. 2 consenting adults entering into a civil contract. the rights, duties, benefits, etc. are exactly the same. that isn't the case with polygamy; you'd have to change a whole bunch of other laws.
