I had no passion for either of these candidates. But, I find it funny and ironic that someone would call the South "racist" and "low information" because they vote Republican. Especially when the majority of black voters are voting for Obama, because he's considered black. I would bet that at least 80% of the black voters that voted for Obama are ill informed, and every bit as "racist" as the Southerners voting Republican. I would also bet that more white voters voted for Obama, than black voters voted for Romney. I would also bet that Obama got a whole lot of votes from white people in the South.
Some of you Republican and Democrats crack me up with your party is holier than thou attitudes. I actually believe if Jerry Sandusky had won the Democratic nomination, Ford (not picking on you Ford, you are just one of the most vocal) would find a way to justify voting for him. Likewise, if Jerry Sandusky had won the Republican nomination, I think BigBadBrian would have found a way to justify voting for him. Of course, this example is an exaggeration to an extent.
It's a shame there seems to be no room for compromise. Ever. You'd think some hybrid would be able to step up and take the best of both parties, and make some progress. The right/left division is doing more harm, than good. They seem to spend more time trying to have all the answers, than they do actually coming up with solutions. Neither of these guys sold me a solution. Then again, even if they did, would their counterparts on the other side allow a solution to happen, if it went against their affiliation? Even if they knew it were the right call?
