Actually I heard is was either GLEN BALLARD or DESMOND CHILD. Funny how they gave up the potentially lucrative song writing cred. for it though. And ED would bring one of those guys in just to write lyrics...

Wise Me Magic. Or Why is me magic as you can say. Me in the magic is like the E in Earvin. Earvin Magic Johnson. This man ran showtime in the 80's. So the fine members of Van Halen wrote a song in the name of Why Is Me Magic? The answer could be determined in so so many ways.

See it from this perspective. Do you know magic? Is the projectoratory done with smoke and mirrors. Like the M in mirrors, magic, and me. Butitlary in the most arvarace of forms. Wise Me Magic. The solution could be simple if the anerity is pointed in the right direction. That ism the way one must see the contrivacle factors. Did not a young Cassius Clay beat Sonny Liston? Was that done with the trickivity of the application of smoke and mirros? Look it up. Did Wilt really have a game where he pulled down 55 rebounds? What is his shoe size? Not 22 like one Shaquille O' Neal. The frumprication of the dercbinirery for the most longest of times. Only in America!

Not a lit major. I heard this song on the radio right when BOV1 was released. I knew who it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy before they anounced it after the song. That song could have only been done with one person and I knew it was Dave. I heard his voice and I went "WOW, that's a motherfucking rock song right there!". The first few times I didn't catch all the lyrics so I was trying to figure out what the last verse meant and have been for years. I got this idea that maybe line by line I might be right but I'm not saying this is what it means but just my opinion.
