        Correct. Me Wise Magic is/was a thoroughbred racehorse. I thought this was common knowledge. You can also read the story of Dave writing the lyrics in his book, Crazy From The Heat.

                            Now let me let you in on a little secret. It isn't a well known fact that this song was actually a left over song intended for Sammy Hagar. It had a totally different title and totally different lyrics, written by Hagar. But since fat boy didn't want to co-operate on a "Best of" album, Van Halen suckered Dave into doing it. Fortunately Dave totally rewrote the title and lyrics from Sammys song. I can reveal here for the first time part of what this song was like before, with the Sammy Hagar title and lyrics:

                                MWAHAHAHAHA. I just love the way people get really deeply exposed when it comes to music such as YFLM, CGTSNM & MWM, and DLR Band. Do people not see and understand how much Dave continues to grow and learn?? I'm glad he's not with VH still, because we would never have seen the best of Dave. It's great to see that there are people on this site who will NOT FUCKING SETTLE for anything less than the best. And Dave is the best. AND IMO I think the supermodel reference in CGTSNM is toward Van Halen, the mighty machine that they appear to be. Just like most supermodels look great, but lack substance, Dave is relating his decision to join Van Halen again. I know I figured fuck it!! He joins, then exposes. Serving up the truth to these guys, they don't want it. They'll even bring it back up they are so desperately blind (a feather and a bucket!!) and ignorant.
                                Oh yeah, these two songs are one's you're gunna want your kids to hear and understand one day. The Van Halen saga has taught me so much about life, and which road to take. And for me it's Dave or the grave!!
                                I'm very proud of what was that band and what was that show and what it did mean to people. It disgusts me that it has turned into the complete opposite. That it now represents everything that I spoke against, that we suppoesedly represented the converse of. I don't want to have to remember that the team turned into that. Makes me question what the team was while I was a member. Was it all bullshit? If nothing else, it confirms in my mind that from my standpoint - yours truly, David Lee - not a fraction. If nothing else, this kind of morbid, wounded animal anger aimed my way has caused me to look deep into that bathroom mirror and come back to you with "my shit was legit." It was for real. And perhaps the test is time. Because here I am, a decade and a half later, haven't changed much. I look a little different, but not much. My sense of humour is about the same.
