You have to remember that when Dave was in VH making his money, the interest rates were very high in the mid to late 80s. When you're in a money making machine like VH was, and your band single handedly saves the company like VH did for WB with 1984, you get a lot of perks. Not only did the albums sell millions of copies, but you make even more money on tour. Let's assume Dave put only half of what he earned in CDs paying 15% conservatively, that would mean $150,000 for every $1 million. That's pretty good. That's not counting any investments he may have had, which of course go go bust. Dave must still make some decent coin from the VH catalog. I don't think he's broke. He may not have as much as he used to, but he definitely ain't broke.

It could be, expecially when money easy come and easy go. Dave was young and possibly he's spent a lot of what he's done in his hey day. But, well, it's all speculation. And none of our business.

The fact he dresses with the same clothes doesn't mean he's poor. I mean, it's ******'s way to live, when your wardrobe is worth more than your house - and Dave is no ******, baby.

I'd could imagine Dave is doing just fine financially.You have to think that with VH and his Solo career he profited from record sales,merchandising,touring,promos(I'm sure alot of stars don't do shit for free) Thats just in the US,You also have to factor in Europe and Japan. Just remeber how big VH was.

Also one that dosen't get brought up alot is the increase in catalog sales when CDs were introduced in the mid 80's. Alot of Bands/Artist recieved a big boost in royalties when consumers started ditching there vinyl and upgrading the music collections to cd.
